Is it the end of March already?! I know its just a cliche thing to say but I honestly can’t believe how fast this year is going.
For todays blog post I thought I would share with you my monthly favourites, covering beauty, food and random ones! So lets jump straight into it…
I’m going to start off with a bit of a tech fave. My MacBook Air. I got this for my birthday, and I have never owned an apple laptop before, but i’m in love with it. I also got a marble hard case for it which looks gorgeous, and as I am a little obsessed with marble it makes me love it even more.
For the whole of March I have been living in my Topshop High Waisted Joni Jeans. These are such a staple for me, and so comfy! I pretty much only wear high waisted jeans, and I think I may have to buy another pair purely because I wear these ones so much. While on the topic of clothing, I have also been obsessed with my Missguided Camel Biker Coat. I have wanted a camel coat for a few years now, and finally went and purchased one. This one is a thick material and so well made for the price. What I love is that its not too warm to wear in summer evenings, but warm enough to wear in winter. Being a biker style is right up my street, as I love the whole look of it. On a side note, the length is perfect as-well, and very flattering.
Moving on to haircare, this month in general, I have been loving Bumble and Bumble products. I was given a Boots gift voucher for my birthday, and went into Boots to have a little nosey. I was intending to buy one of the BB Blow Dry Cremes, as I had seen them in a video from Hey Claire. I was helped by a lovely lady who recommended one for my particular hair, and then gave me loads of really good sized samples. I left Boots with the samples and have been hooked on them ever since, and will 100% be purchasing the full sizes when I run out. In particular I have been loving the BB Repair Blow Dry for when I am using a hair dryer and styling my hair and the BB Don’t Blow It for when I’m letting my hair dry naturally. The invisible oil range Shampoo and Conditioner along with the Invisible Oil itself.
My favourites in makeup for this month are the Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter. I wasn’t sure this would look that great without a tan, but even on pale skin it looks gorgeous. I have also been loving it as an inner corner highlight, and sometimes even as an eyeshadow. Secondly, I have been loving my MAC Palette again. I don’t have that many shades, and since I purchased my new Stila one, haven’t been using it that much until the last few weeks when I have been using it everyday. In particular I love the shades Antiqued, Cranberry and Texture.
For random favourites, I have to mention the BBC 3 programme Thirteen. It finished on Sunday, and I am so sad about it. There are only 5 episodes but it is a must watch! Being Easter, I obviously couldn’t not give a chocolate favourite, and it has to be Mini Eggs. I love them. I always say ”I’ll just have a 2 or 3”, and then its 3 bags later and i’m heading to the shop for more (eek). I also baked some blondies for easter and oh boy were they good (let me know if you would like a recipe).
What were your favourites this month?
Recently I have been trying out some new products, in particular the Arbonne FC5 range, Continue reading “Arbonne FC5 Range”
This is a post following on from my last, but I thought I would do it in a different format, because why not?! I do truly believe that with certain products, you get what you pay for.
After the excitement of my birthday, I am currently sat drinking a cup of tea finally relaxing and getting to do a bit of writing. I was wondering on what to post, and upon going to Boots this morning, I had the idea to write a drugstore dedicated post, on my favourite brands and which items in particular I tend to go to those brands for. So, lets jump straight into it….
I recently have re-vamped my skin care routine a little bit, and have been really loving the result. All of these products I have been using for a while now, and I really love them all.
So, it has now been 2 weeks since I had my eyelash extensions applied. To be honest, not much has changed from my last post. I have lost a few, but its not really noticeable, well not to me anyway. Taking my eye make-up off with cotton buds and micellar water hasn’t really bothered me or changed anything for me.
I really am enjoying having eyelash extensions, they look so effortless and I have been finding myself wearing less eye make-up because of them. They have given me a great confidence boost. Applying make-up is not much difference, I just have to be more careful when applying eyeshadow than normal, but again that doesn’t bother me.
Here is the photo from the day I had them applied……
….and one taken today….
In pictures, they do look quite different, but in person they really don’t. Considering most people have infils around 3 weeks, I’m really happy and I’m pretty sure I will be able to go another 2 weeks without extensions.
Have you ever had eyelash extensions? What are your views on them?
Carrying on from my last post, I am going to show you how I would pair some of the pieces I talked about in my Basics and Style Staples, Part 1. I thought I would try and do some outfits for different occasions, and try and use at least one of each staple. I hope you enjoy this post!
I recently wrote in a previous blog post that basics are a major part of my style at the moment, and I mentioned a few key pieces everyone should have in their wardrobe. So on that note, I thought I would write a blog post for you all on basics and style staples that I love and how I style my basics (part 2) and how I put them together on a daily basis. I will link all the pieces for you at the bottom of the post, and I hope that this helps you or gives you some inspiration. This is going to be a pretty hefty post, so grab a cuppa and enjoy!
