Carrying on from my last post, I am going to show you how I would pair some of the pieces I talked about in my Basics and Style Staples, Part 1. I thought I would try and do some outfits for different occasions, and try and use at least one of each staple. I hope you enjoy this post!
Outfit 1 : Black skinnies, simple tee and a fedora.
I love this outfit, its so simple yet effective. I think the snakeskin on the shoes gives it something extra, and for evenings you could pair it with a pair of heels and a clutch bag!
Outfit 2 : Ripped knees and cropped tee with a pop of colour.
I think this outfit would be perfect for a day at uni, and the mustard jacket adds some colour so it isn’t completely monochrome. You could ass some heeled boots instead of the trainers and a leather jacket to give it a bit more of an edge.
Outfit 3: Simple and Minimal
I would maybe wear this to dinner or drinks, or even in the day if i was feeling extra fancy. The jumpsuit is very flattering and would look gorgeous with some heels and a fur coat!
Outfit 4: Layering
I love layering shirts under jumpers, they make an outfit look smarter but by pairing it with a pair of jeans makes it just that little but more casual. Big handbags always look good, and this one is a beautiful tan leather one, that would go with so many outfits.
Outfit 5: Nude, black and grey
This is more of a formal outfit, but I love the colours throughout all these pieces. The turtle neck jumper adds some warmth, and pairing this with some statement earrings would look amazing.
Outfit 6: Spring floral’s
I cant get enough of these trousers, they are just so gorgeous! This outfit would be perfect for a day at uni or a day shopping as its comfy, stylish and practical. You could swap the sandals for some heels and make the outfit more formal.
Outfit 7: Leather and stripes
Mom jeans and a striped tee? love love love. Its such a winning combination, and if you get a little chilly just throw on a leather jacket!
Outfit 8: Out Out
These leather trousers are so comfy (I have them myself), and in the colder months are my go-to for if I want to dress up a little bit. The red cami adds some colour to an otherwise all black outfit, and makes it perfect for a night out. I really want this bag, its very chloe-esque and such a bargain!
Outfit 9: A-line skirt and suede jacket
By tucking this plain tee into the skirt it gives you some shape back. If its cold add some tights and chunky boots, and if not pair it with some sandals or pumps!
Outfit 10: Lazy Sunday
This outfit is a really casual comfy one, with the leather jacket adding a little edge to it. I would wear this on a Sunday spend at home, or if I was going out for lunch.
Outfit 11: Checked shirt and boots
You could wear this outfit with either the checked shirt tied around the waist or open over the top of the body. Team it with black skinny jeans and some boots and your all set!
Outfit 12: Denim on denim
A denim shirt on top of black denim jeans can look really nice if done right, adding some over the knee boots breaks it up a little, and the cuff earring adds some rock to it.
So there we have it, the way I like the style my basics and staple pieces.
Which was your favourite outfit out of the 12?
