I recently put a picture on Instagram of the makeup I was wearing one day and upon seeing it again realised I had worn that makeup look all through last month and also most of this month. So, I thought I would talk you through what has been on my face through the month of February…
For base, I have been loving the Clarins Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Foundation. This was actually my mums and she gave it to me, and I’m so glad she did! It’s perfect for dry skin like mine, and it leaves a gorgeous dewy look to the skin. I would say it’s medium to high coverage, and it also works really well when other products such as contour are applied on top. I used this in conjunction with my Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser Eye Concealer (what a mouthful!) and my MAC Prep + Prime Highlighting Pen in Light Boost. These 3 together are just dreamy and leave my skin looking flawless.
For contour I have been using my L.A. Girl Pro Concealer in Beautiful Bronze. This blends really well, and is a lot of warmer than I normally go for, but really bronzes up the face but also giving you some definition at the same time. I usually apply this and then use my beauty blender the blend it out, and sometimes use some of my Anastasia Contour Kit just to add a little more depth.
On my eyes, I literally can’t get enough of the Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Quad in Vintage Vamp. Firstly, they blend like a dream and are so pigmented. I tend to wear all 4 shades together but I also sometimes wear the shades individually when I want a more natural look, especially the lightest shade. Paired with winged liner, it’s a beautiful eye look. If I’m not feeling liner, I take the darkest shade and smudge it into my lash line.
As you may have seen on a previous post, I recently got eyelash extensions. Prior to this I have been religiously using the Tarte Lights Camera Splashes Mascara. Word of warning however; it is so hard to get off. Like really hard. The only thing I have found that really works is oil based makeup remover. Lash-wise, it does a pretty good job. It doesn’t clump, and it thickens and lengthens really well. I just really wish it was easier time remove as I didn’t get on with the normal version that well!
Brows are my normal routine of the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate. I have been using this everyday since last summer and I honestly have so much left, which is amazing. I really like this product however you have to be careful you don’t use too much when applying it because you can end up looking like you filled your brows in with a sharpie. What I love most about this is that it stays on all day, and doesn’t move. I really struggle to find brow products that stay on, and this fits the bill perfectly. However it does take longer to do and I sometimes find myself lying in bed contemplating an extra 5 minutes and missing out my brows (I always go for the extra five mins – and then end up doing my brows and being late woops!).
What products have you been loving this last month?
